What the job involves
- Reports To: Head of Finance
- The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day Accounting functions, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies
- You will play an integral role in managing the month-end and year-end close processes, financial reporting, and providing insight into the company’s financial health
- Oversee the maintenance and accuracy of the company’s general
- Review and post journal entries for various accounting functions (e.g., revenue recognition, expenses, accruals)
- Reconcile all general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Lead the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Prepare financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow) in compliance with GAAP
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure all transactions are accounted for correctly
- Assist in preparing and reviewing account reconciliations, including revenue, deferred revenue, and expenses
- Ensure proper recognition of revenue in accordance with ASC 606 (SaaS-specic revenue recognition)
- Review customer contracts, billing arrangements, and subscription models to ensure accurate revenue recognition
- Monitor and reconcile deferred revenue accounts
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate accounting processes
- Work with the finance team to implement accounting software improvements or integrations for better efficiency
