Who you are
- We’re looking for someone who has seen what “great” looks like — someone who has driven sourcing success at both fast-moving startups and, ideally, scaled public tech companies. If you’ve helped build world-class engineering teams, this role is for you
- 6-8 years of experience in technical sourcing, with a proven track record of success
- Demonstrated experience sourcing across complex engineering domains including backend, full-stack, infrastructure, and platform engineering
- Deep understanding of Silicon Valley's technical talent landscape; experience sourcing in competitive markets like Toronto, SF, Seattle, or NYC is a plus
- Highly skilled in using tools like LinkedIn Recruiter, Github, and other sourcing platforms
- Creative and thoughtful in outreach; you know how to craft messages that get responses from even the most passive candidates
- Passionate about building — you thrive in environments where you can build systems, processes, and pipelines from scratch
- Data-driven and results-oriented, with a strong grasp of funnel metrics and conversion levers
- Clear communicator and trusted partner to both recruiters and hiring managers
What the job involves
- We’re looking for a senior-level Lead Technical Sourcer to build our outbound sourcing strategy from the ground up. You’ll be the first dedicated sourcing expert on the team, partnering with our head of technical recruiting in owning the strategy and execution across our most critical technical hiring needs.
- You’ll partner closely with recruiting and engineering leadership, and play a pivotal role in shaping how we attract and engage the best engineers in the world
- Own the end-to-end sourcing strategy for technical roles across the company
- Partner with recruiting and engineering leadership to understand hiring priorities, develop target profiles, and define ideal sourcing strategies
- Build top-of-funnel pipeline through proactive outreach, talent mapping, and competitive research
- Create and iterate on scalable outreach campaigns, content, and sourcing workflows
- Champion sourcing strategies and implement best practices to ensure a rich and ongoing talent pipeline
- Evaluate and implement sourcing tools, platforms, and processes to maximize efficiency and impact
- Track pipeline metrics, report on sourcing effectiveness, and continuously optimize based on data
- Mentor and guide future sourcers as the function grows, laying the foundation for a high-performing sourcing team
