Financial Accountant, dare

• Financial reporting and management accounts experience in a financial services environment – from an audit practice background (ideally with key clients from financial services companies)
• Newly qualified ACA (Associate Chartered Accountant - able to demonstrate technical strength)
• Advanced Excel skills
• People management skills
• Ability to prioritise financial deliverables and implement a strong cash control mindset
• Strong communicator
• Ability to build and manage relationships across the business
• Good attention to detail
• Adaptable to competing demands and priorities

Desirable

• Complete month-end tasks within a specified timeframe, including analysing FX, intercompany, and completing fixed asset register & lease accounting tasks
• Assist in delivering monthly reporting packs to management. Understand fluctuations in these and provide analysis
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations (including supporting documentation) and post resulting adjustments. Understand fluctuations and provide analysis
• Ensure daily revenue and bank account transaction postings are made into NetSuite and statements are clear
• Monitor cash settlement positions and reconcile cash settlement invoices with an expected closing position
• Ensure daily movements in all currencies are understood and flagged if unexpected
• Prepare and submit the quarterly VAT return
• Produce ad-hoc finance reports aiding in the review of management accounts
• Focus on process improvement in existing and new finance areas as the team and company continue to grow
• Develop and maintain efficient and sustainable processes, controls, and systems to ensure the accuracy and timely delivery of management information
• Support the wider business on ad-hoc projects in line with our growth strategy
• Assist with the year-end audit process and accounts preparation cycle across Dare Group entities
