Our take

As real estate, hospitality, and travel converge, there are more opportunities for landlords to fill empty spaces and make real returns on their portfolio. Historically, however, this has required a level of flexibility and cross-platform management that made logistics almost prohibitively complex. Especially when it comes to residential apartment buildings. Lavanda is hoping to change that, with a platform helping landlords boost net operating income by remaining flexible to different kinds of rental requirements, and to capitalise on seasonal demand.

This means that landlords who were traditionally pegged to the residential market are now able to start building up hospitality brands of their own, which can provide a significant incremental value boost over time. The concept is proving remarkably popular, and Lavanda is growing and developing its product fast. Lavanda are now partnering to offer services in the UAE and on a new UK based platform JLL Short Stays. This speaks highly of the team’s strategic acumen, which will serve them well as the market continues to develop.
