Who you are
- Qualified - you are a qualified accountant, preferably ACA or ACCA
- High attention to detail - you are thorough and focused, usually picking up errors others have failed to notice
- Excellent communicator - you can communicate confidently and authoritatively with a wide variety of stakeholders
- Organised and able to work under pressure - you are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and can juggle multiple tasks at the same time
- Proactive learner - you have an interest in both travel and technology, and are willing to do what it takes to become an expert in Flash Pack adventures
Desirable
- Experience with Xero and general cloud based software
- Experience in a startup or scale up environment
- Experience in travel or leisure
What the job involves
- Create scalable processes & controls - you will empower the business with solid foundations for growth
- Close our month end in a timely manner - you will lead on providing key stakeholders with timely and accurate information following the end of a month
- Maintain accuracy of data - you will work cross departmentally to maintain and improve accuracy of key financial data including booking information, receipts and payables
- Become the first point of contact for financial related questions - you will become the go to person within the Company for finance
- Communicate complex financial concepts - you will have the ability to break down complex financial concepts with other departments to achieve successful outcomes
- Extensive project work alongside the CFO and other C-Suite executives - you will have the opportunity to work closely with C-Suite on a variety of ad hoc projects
- The role will focus on building out both financial and operational processes as well as leading on month end / management accounts. The right person will have the opportunity to progress to a Financial Controller role and assist in building out a Finance Team fit for scale
- This is a Remote Flexible role meaning that while it is contracted to the London office there is flexibility to work from home the majority of the time. The whole company currently meets in the London office once every six weeks for an off-site collaboration day and your team may meet a little more regularly for team working and adhoc events such as interview days, onboarding and training
