What the job involves

You’ll help us create fun, authentic TikTok content that showcases the BorrowMyDoggy community and helps more people discover the joy of spending time with dogs
This is a hands-on role focused on creating and testing video ideas
Create TikTok videos for BorrowMyDoggy
Identify trends and formats that could work for our brand
Film and edit short-form video content
Help test new creative ideas and storytelling formats
Capture the joy, humour and personality of dogs and dog lovers
Work with a fun and friendly dog-loving team
Help shape the voice of a mission-driven brand
Create content for a large and engaged dog-loving community

Our take

UK pet ownership saw a massive upswing over the pandemic period, and as restrictions came to a close and office life returned, so did demand for petsitting. BorrowMyDoggy, founded back in 2012, was there to pick up the slack, turning the traditional dogsitting model on its head by connecting owners for free to trusted local "borrowers".

Instead of owners paying for pet care, through BorrowMyDoggy users pay a monthly subscription to borrow and spend time with dogs. This allows the company to essentially undercut a huge tranche of the paid petcare market, providing a free source of care support, and in some cases even help with re-homing.

With pet bills on the rise, the free support provided by the platform is seeing remarkable success, and has allowed it to build a strong user base across the UK and Ireland. As this trend continues, it is likely more and more owners will turn to the platform, while the growing desire for spending time outdoors hopefully attracts a new wave of borrowers.
