Who you are

Proficient in one or more the following languages: C/C++ (required), Java, Python

Experience with point cloud or image processing is a plus

What the job involves

Gain exposure and hands-on experience designing, benchmarking and implementing algorithms & methods using point cloud and image data within focus areas such as:
Deep Learning and Object Detection, SLAM/Localization, Sensor Fusion and Calibration, and/or 2D/3D data processing and analysis
Get experience working on complex and production level systems across teams such as Map Engine, AV Client, and/or Tools
Projects can range from low level embedded software to front and backend web technologies. Technologies include: Linux based C++, Java, Python, Javascript
Learn and work on the backbone of our services. Design, develop, and improve scalable internet service infrastructure software
Automate and streamline operations and process
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in both development and production environments. Technologies include: AWS, Go, Java, SQL, MapReduce

DeepMap addresses one of the biggest challenges that automated car companies face: proper localization and mapping information that is reflective of real-time road conditions. With DeepMap’s innovations, it should enhance a vehicle's ability to correctly locate itself whilst on the road, increasing its precision and overall safety.

Recently acquired by chipmaker Nvidia, DeepMap’s digital maps respond to the needs of vehicle manufacturers for more advanced levels of driving autonomy, both for passenger vehicles and trucks. Through this acquisition, the start-up is setting out to expand its expertise in self-driving technology and move into worldwide mapping solutions. In regards to its B2B model, it has already formed partnerships with leading autonomy organizations including names like Ford, Honda, Bosch, and Einride
