5+ years experience in a backend stack (NodeJS, Scala, Python, etc.),
Meaningful experience architecting, designing, and implementing highly available, scalable, and performant APIs,

Our take

Software testing is an invaluable process within mobile application development, allowing developers to ensure that new software products and features provide a seamless user experience. However, testing is typically conducted after the application has been developed, and this can result in urgent, time-consuming, and problematic bug-fixing workflows.

Waldo provides a platform for end-to-end, autonomous, and scriptless mobile development testing, focused on identifying bugs whilst the software is being developed as opposed to post-development assessment. Testing on the platform can be conducted in parallel across multiple devices, operating systems, and languages simultaneously, and is fully integrated to facilitate smooth testing performance regardless of scale.

Despite facing competition from other mobile application testing products, Waldo has found a gap in the market by focussing on testing products whilst they are being developed, preventing the necessity for time-consuming post-development bug fixing. Furthermore, the company's no-code and unified approach to testing shows the potential to rapidly increase the efficiency of testing workflows whilst maintaining integration within all major programming languages, operating systems, and scales. Its potential in the market led to its acquisition by Tricentis, an Austrian-founded continuous testing unicorn in 2023, which will open up Waldo's customer base significantly.
