Who you are

Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Software Testing or Software Engineering, preferably within complex or data-driven systems
Proven expertise in test automation frameworks such as Pytest, Playwright, Cypress or Selenium, with a strong understanding of continuous integration and delivery practices
Strong knowledge of API testing, load and performance testing and end-to-end validation across distributed or microservice-based architectures
Experience designing and maintaining automated test pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Circle CI, or Azure DevOps and familiarity with containerised environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
Proven track record of working closely with engineering, data science and product teams to define quality standards and ensure release readiness
Excellent analytical and communication skills with a focus on preventing defects through process improvements rather than just detecting them

What the job involves

Design, build, and maintain automated testing frameworks to validate functionality, performance and reliability across ExTrac’s core platform and machine learning pipelines
Collaborate with product, software engineers and Machine Learning teams to ensure robust testing of APIs, model outputs, data pipelines, and front-end components
Implement and maintain CI/CD-integrated quality gates that enforce high standards of code and data quality before deployment
Develop comprehensive test strategies, including functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing, aligned with the team’s release cycles
Conduct root cause analyses for defects and production incidents and contribute to postmortems to ensure issues are prevented in future releases
Establish and monitor test coverage metrics, performance benchmarks, and release readiness indicators
Stay current with evolving best practices in test automation, continuous testing, and software reliability engineering
