Role
Who you are
- We’re looking for someone with 2+ years experience managing a 360 sales cycle, including prospecting, pipeline management and delivering a thorough end-to-end sales process
- You have experience with outbound messaging and calls, and are able to connect with both inbound and outbound prospects
- You’ve used networking tools such as LinkedIn and Outreach to research accounts, identifying key contacts and building targeted messaging
- You’re comfortable operating in a small team, and are able to adapt, be flexible and collaborate - even when the processes aren’t 100%
- You don't need to have experience in the world of job search, but you do need to be energised by our mission to make the job search less soul-crushing
What the job involves
- It’s an exciting time to join our Sales team, as almost all of our sales have been inbound. Now, we want to shift our focus to outbound, so that we have even more opportunities to go after - that’s where you come in!
- You'll be a key member of the Sales team at Otta, finding great companies for us to connect with, so that we can help even more candidates to secure their dream job
- You’ll be reporting to Steph (Sales Lead), and work closely with our Commercial leaders Fin (VP Commercial), Caroline (CS Director) & Abby (Head of Commercial Ops) to drive behavioural change amongst companies and help solve some of the biggest problems that make job search so frustrating today
- You’ll test and iterate on ideas to flush out a high quality pipeline, and improve the efficiency of the Sales team - while ensuring we anticipate, manage and influence companies that aren’t ready to commit
- You’ll immerse yourself in the systemic problems that exist within recruitment, and how Otta can solve them to deliver value to companies hiring (e.g. encouraging companies to make salaries transparent on jobs)
- Our culture is one where you’re encouraged to challenge our processes and show initiative, so if you feel something isn’t working, change it!
- You’ll collaborate with colleagues from across the business, including the Customer Success, Operations, and Product teams, where you’ll contribute feedback to help us build the best possible product
Application process
- Exploratory call, to discuss your motivations, what gives you energy and whether this is the role for you (30 mins)
- A mock sales meeting to test your core sales skills, including a follow-up written assignment (45 mins)
- Skills interview to discuss your approach to certain scenarios, specific to Otta and the role, and your working style (60 mins)
- Values interview with Theo (COO and Co-Founder), to discuss what you might bring to the role, how you might embody our values, and any final questions from you (30 minutes)
