Who you are

Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Experience with FPGA development tools (e.g., Vivado, Synplify)
Strong understanding of digital design principles
Knowledge of FPGA architectures and technologies
Familiarity with hardware description languages (e.g., SystemVerilog, VHDL)
Experience with FPGA simulation and verification
Ability to troubleshoot and debug FPGA designs
Good communication and teamwork abilities

What the job involves

We are excited to offer a 10-week in-person internship at Capella Space, running from June 3rd to August 15th
This opportunity provides students with hands-on learning and valuable exposure to the dynamic fields of spacecraft design, manufacturing, and geospatial imagery
Alongside meaningful work, our internships include a variety of social events and experiences designed to help you maintain a healthy work-life balance throughout the summer

As an FPGA Engineer Intern, you will be responsible for assisting in the design, development, and testing of FPGA-based systems for space
You will work closely with the team to implement and verify FPGA designs, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance
This role requires a strong understanding of digital design principles and experience with FPGA development tools
Assist in the design and development of FPGA-based systems
Simulate, implement, and verify FPGA designs
Troubleshoot and debug FPGA issues
Optimize FPGA resource utilization and performance
Document design specifications and test procedures
Stay up-to-date with the latest FPGA development tools and technologies
Contribute to the continuous improvement of FPGA design processes
Support the integration of FPGA designs into larger systems
Assist in the testing and validation of FPGA designs
