Who you are

Strong technical background with expertise in software engineering, system architecture and cloud platforms with AWS experience and exposure to Azure or Google Cloud
Strong and demonstrable experience in DevOps practices and developing CI/CD pipelines and supporting technologies
Can clearly articulate data engineering concepts and is able to demonstrate these through a deep level of experience and knowledge
Strong planning and organisational skills, including the ability to manage several work streams simultaneously, while balancing business priorities and quality
To ensure that the infrastructure is developed to support the delivery of services to multiple platforms with appropriate levels of resilience and performance
A security first mindset with the ability to rapidly learn and adapt to the ever-changing security landscape
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a track record of delivering complex software projects on time and within budget
Be a key contributor to technical alignment and good engineering practices within our engineering department

What the job involves

Overseeing the development and management of a company's technology platform
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and build scalable and reliable platforms that support the organisation's business goals and objectives. Highly engaged technologist with the ability to rapidly shift from strategic planning to whiteboarding with engineers
Provide strategic direction, leadership and oversight for the design, development, operation and support of infrastructure, technical systems and services
Be able to bring together traditionally siloed services and applications into a cohesive platform
Drive system changes and evolution in line with established architectural models and roadmaps
