Role
Who you are
- 5–8 years of product design experience, with a portfolio that demonstrates end-to-end ownership of shipped products — ideally a mix of consumer and platform/tools work
- Fluency in Figma including component architecture, auto-layout, and variables for design system work. You are enthusiastic about investigating and integrating novel creative design tools into the team's repertoire, driven by the rapid expansion of the AI-powered creativity tools domain
- Strong prototyping instincts. You reach for interactive prototypes over static mocks when the problem calls for it
- Experience contributing to or building design systems that serve multiple product surfaces
- Excellent visual design sensibility — typography, color, spacing, motion — paired with rigorous interaction thinking
- Comfort operating in ambiguity. You’re energized (not overwhelmed) by early-stage product work where the problem space is still being defined
- Clear, direct communication. You can articulate design rationale to engineers and executives alike
- We’re specifically excited about designers who are forward-leaned on the new wave of AI-augmented design tools. This is non-negotiable for us:
- Your portfolio includes prototypes of ideas built with AI tools (Cursor, v0, Bolt, Replit Agent, or similar). Personal projects and experiments absolutely count — we’re prioritizing for the mindset, not the expertise
- You actively explore how AI changes the design process itself — from ideation and layout generation to code-backed prototyping — and have opinions about where it’s headed
- Experience or strong interest in web3, crypto wallets, DeFi, or developer tooling in the blockchain space
What the job involves
- We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our small, high-impact design team (2–5 people). You’ll work across a spectrum of consumer products and developer-facing tools, with roughly an 80/20 split between B2C and B2B work
- This role is end-to-end: you’ll own problems from early research and concept exploration through prototyping, visual design, and shipping. You’ll also contribute to our evolving design systems, ensuring coherence across a rapidly expanding product surface
- Own the full design lifecycle — from user research and problem framing to interaction design, high-fidelity UI, and production-ready specs — across consumer and developer products
- Prototype early and often. We love designers who prototype to think
- Shape and scale our design systems so that new products launch with coherence and existing ones evolve gracefully
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other designers to align on priorities, scope tradeoffs, and ship with quality at speed
- Bring strong visual and interaction craft to everything you touch — from micro-interactions in a wallet to the information architecture of a developer console
- Advocate for users by grounding decisions in research, data, and a genuine curiosity about how people interact with blockchain-powered products

Our take
Mysten Labs was created with the ambition to build a blockchain comparable to Ethereum or Solanan - but with even greater capabilities. That means tackling pain points currently found in blockchain technology, like scaling transactions and speed to meet growing demand.
To do this, Mysten is building foundational infrastructure for Web 3.0 which supports the accelerated development and adoption of decentralized services. The startup is determined to build a platform that finally lets Web 3.0 developers focus on UI, without compromising on security.
The company has focussed on expanding partnerships with existing networks such as Ethos and Orange Comet Partners, who have integrated Mysten technology, as well as open protocols based on Mysten-designed components. Ensuring that it assigns developer and community outreach resources in the right places will be crucial to building a sustainable business in this relatively young space.
