- Experience: Extensive marketing experience with a proven track record in managing multiple brands, along with a strong background in developing and executing successful marketing strategies for diverse product offerings

What the job involves
- Convene’s SVP of Brand Marketing will drive the development and execution of comprehensive marketing and brand strategies to enhance visibility, drive demand, and further position Convene as a leader in the meetings, events, and workday experience industry.
- This includes translating company strategy into a brand & marketing strategy, growing and managing the performance of your team
- Building and scaling a demand and lead generation machine to drive revenue across our entire product and brand portfolio, continuing to develop the group brand strategy and management of a multi-brand portfolio, and partnering with other members of the executive leadership team to execute on key strategic growth priorities
- Reporting directly to the CEO and serving as a member of the executive team, you will deliver actionable insights and play a critical role in guiding our Brand strategy and delivering on those goals
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement overarching marketing and brand strategies that align with our business objectives and resonate with diverse target audiences across multiple brands, products and regions
- Brand Management: Oversee and nurture the growth of multiple brands within our portfolio, ensuring cohesive and impactful marketing approaches tailored to each brand’s unique identity and market positioning
- Global Marketing Execution: Coordinate and execute marketing campaigns, adapting strategies to local markets while maintaining a unified global brand voice. Execute a rigorous demand generation process from Marketing with pipeline reports and other analytics that ensure healthy funnel growth, as well as speedy conversion and lower CAC
- Partnerships & Brand Activations: Identify and execute on partnership opportunities to grow brand presence alongside values-aligned businesses that elevate and extend Convene (and sub brands) market presence, or thought leadership through barter agreements, and paid content
- Client Engagement & Loyalty: Develop and implement initiatives to drive client engagement and loyalty. This includes co-developing a Convene loyalty program, maintaining the client advisory board, and conceiving innovative strategies to foster loyalty and engagement within Convene's client base
- Product Marketing: Collaborate with product teams to create compelling messaging and positioning for our various product offerings, driving awareness, engagement, and adoption. Contribute input to product positioning, packaging and lead pricing informed by market intelligence and strategic insight
- Comms & PR: Lead the PR & Comms team creating consistency across our brand, marketing, communications and PR messaging, ensuring strategic business objectives are met as well as effectively managing crisis response communications and gaining media traction with core brand messages
- Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and results-driven performance. Manage cross-functional projects and drive strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with broader business goals
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize market research, analytics, and performance metrics to guide strategy, optimize campaigns, and measure ROI. Track competitive marketplace, industry and individual customer trends to drive the growth strategy and execution
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Product, and Operations, to ensure marketing initiatives support broader business goals and deliver a seamless customer experience
- Innovation & Trends: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging marketing technologies to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge
- Financial Acumen: responsible for management of the marketing budget to optimize revenue outcomes and support the global marketing team’s efforts

Convene designs and operates premium meeting, event, and flexible workspace venues inside Class A office buildings. Founded with the aim of improving how people meet and work, its venues can host a wide range of events while also offering flexible WorkSuites and shared workspaces.
Like many businesses focused on in-person gatherings, Convene was significantly impacted by the pandemic in 2020, when demand for physical events declines sharply. In response, the company expanded is capabilities to support virtual and hybrid events, allowing conferences to reach both in-person an remote audiences. These formats allow participants to join sessions online, interact with speakers and hosts, and connect with other attendees through digital networking tools.
Convene has since continued evolving its platform and physical venues to support a more flexible events market. The company also strengthened its international presence through the 2023 acquisition of etc.venues, expanding into the UK and growing its portfolio to dozens of locations across the US and UK. With this broader footprint and a mix of in-person, hybrid, and flexible workspace offerings, Convene is aiming to scale is hospitality-driven model even more and grow annual revenues to $100M.
