What the job involves
- Join our Customer Data Platform team. The Customer Data Platform enables Delivery Hero’s brands to access important customer information in real-time and build a delightful customer experience on top
- You will work on building and maintaining a highly scalable and low latency (p99 < 20ms) API that would allow stakeholders to consume customer data from the platform to enable transactional and real-time use cases ( > 2000 rps and > 4B requests per month)
- Contributing to system architecture designs and reviews and making sure our solutions meet stakeholder expectations and SLOs, within the boundaries of budget
- Reviewing current tech-debt and providing improvements as required

Until relatively recently, delivery services were out of the question for many local restaurants and businesses due to high costs and logistical complexity. Delivery Hero solves this problem by enabling fast and flexible delivery for restaurants, takeaways, and grocery stores.
Since its founding in 2008, Delivery Hero has grown into one of the world's biggest online delivery platforms, alongside rivals Uber Eats, Deliveroo and Just Eat. Delivery Hero operates in over 70 countries, and owns a number of other big-name brands, such as Asian delivery giant Foodpanda.
Delivery Hero owes much of its success to its impressive adaptability, having branched out into new markets such as quick commerce. As with many of its peers, the company has had to grapple with the effects of the 2023 economic situation, cutting jobs in Taiwan, Berlin and Turkey at the end of that year. However, it has remained steadfast in its goal to increase efficiency throughout the organization and move ahead with "ambitious plans" for the coming years.
