What the job involves

  • We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Front-end Software Engineer to join our Discovery pillar
  • In this role, you will be a critical cross-functional team member dedicated to helping retailers discover supplies for their stores
  • Our team develops browse solutions that enable retailers to shop by various dimensions and generate idea-rich results pages, bringing clarity to broad concepts
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, engineering managers, and other stakeholders to significantly contribute to the success of Faire's business and engineering platform
  • Product Ownership: Share ownership of our product, contributing to ongoing improvements that enhance the customer experience
  • Technical Leadership: Help define the team's technical direction and roadmap, influencing the overall strategic direction of our engineering efforts
  • Technical Improvements: Identify, prioritize, and drive technical improvements through multi-month projects that enhance the platform's performance and scalability
  • Framework Development: Contribute to setting the technical direction of our server-driven UI framework. Design and execute engineering solutions that align with framework goals, ensuring scalability and broad adoption
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize web applications for peak performance and scalability. Work with state-of-the-art technologies such as Next.js, applying in-depth knowledge of frontend and backend performance techniques
  • Mentorship: Mentor fellow developers by sharing industry best practices and fostering an environment of continuous learning and growth
