Role
Who you are
- 3+ years in product owner/business analyst or similar roles with a key understanding of product management and software development methods, applied concepts and tools in modern product management and product design
- Sound understanding of technical aspects of a FinTech product and its complexity
- Experience with Jira, Lucidchart, Productboard or any other diagramming / collaboration/prototyping tools
- You are able to solve complex challenges and convert them into structured solutions, which are actionable for both internal and external stakeholders
- You can formulate a vision and are able to develop, adapt, and execute short and medium-term strategies
- You are hands-on, have strong project management skills in which you take full ownership and control over your projects, and have the ability to manage priorities to get projects done in time
- Strong interpersonal communication & collaboration skills
- Strong organisational, planning, and time management skills
- Strong problem solving and risk identification skills
- A background in an engineering or technical role is a plus
What the job involves
- You will be challenged to build out and optimise our payments, infrastructure, and payouts offerings for some of the top brands and marketplaces in the world
- You will take responsibility for the management of our RfP processes, pricing negotiation, scoping and delivering technical projects to build payments offerings that fit the needs of our customers at scale
- You will interact with customers on a regular basis and translate their needs into product requirements
- You will work closely with our engineers, and multiple teams within Paytrix, as well as external partners, to ensure the best offering for our customers
- You will be working with a highly experienced and driven team where, alongside your day-to-day activities, you will learn the ins and outs of creating and growing a technology company
- You’ll have the opportunity to make important strategic decisions and shape the future of the business, and payments
- You will be working remotely, but getting together IRL at regular intervals to establish personal and meaningful relationships with your team and the rest of the company
Our take
Scaling a business is a complex and time-consuming process, especially when it comes to payments. A typical solution for a company scaling globally involves integrating with multiple external partners, or building an expensive and difficult in-house solution. Paytrix solves this problem by providing an end-to-end payments infrastructure that makes it easier for businesses to scale across borders.
Paytrix is headed up by two experienced FinTech veterans. This has enabled the company to identify a valuable gap in the market: Paytrix's regulated curation layer is the first of its kind. The company is mainly targeting large businesses that are looking to secure their payment infrastructures on a global scale.
Paytrix's clear vision and value-adding payments product has set it up well for success in the lucrative FinTech sector. It has raised a significant amount of capital, most recently closing a Series A round led by Unusual Ventures. The company plans to use this funding to scale its operations, develop its product and hire additional talent.
