Who you are

You are passionate about sustainability
Minimum three years previous experience selling into retailers
Engaging and persuasive communication skills, a natural relationship builder

What the job involves

You will be working closely with our team, including the founders to lead our expansion into selling our natural products in reusable packaging to businesses and retailers
You will help develop our processes. You will oversee lead generation, sales and relationship management across national retailers, independent retailers and other B2B accounts
You will build relationships with key customers and be responsible for driving forward rate of sale through merchandising, shopper marketing and training
You will be supported in these areas by the Bower team, in particular our product, growth, marketing and customer happiness teams
You will be responsible for hitting weekly KPI’s and monthly sales targets
Researching and planning: locating the best customers for Bower, from farm shops, to health food stores and major national retailers!
Lead generation: generating leads, landing new listings and driving existing customers. You will seek new revenue growth across a range of business customers and retailers
Rapport building: building brilliant relationships with every customer, as a key face of the Bower brand
Excellent execution: high level of organisation and project management required to ensure smooth and brilliant execution of new listings
Pipeline and sales reporting: weekly and monthly reporting on channel and account performance vs targets, pipeline development, and reference back to business objectives to ensure we are on-track to hit our goals
Consumer and retail Insights: getting insights in-store and from all customers. Continually feeding these back to the business to inform and develop future strategy
Forecasting: input to forecasting to help the business shape the P&L and manage inventory levels
Finger on the pulse: you will be passionate about sustainable consumer goods and will stay up to date on the latest trends and what’s happening in stores. You will be the eyes and ears of the Bower retail team

Bower Collective specialises in plastic-free, reusable and refillable home and personal care products, inspired by the Bowerbird, which recycles brightly coloured plastic scraps to decorate its nest. Bower Collective's process is centred around reusing, refilling, and recycling. Its products display each or all of these qualities and are designed to be high-quality, long-lasting, and sustainable.

Initially, customers buy a reusable dispenser and select the product refill pouch they want to fill it up with. Once the pouches are empty, they can be returned through pre-paid returns envelopes. The brand will then collect, sterilise and reuse the packaging. Its data estimates that switching to Bower Collective products has so far saved 25,035kg of plastic waste from landfills and the natural environment.

Launched in January 2020, the company already counts over 140,000 members of its community and received B Corp certification in 2022 for its impact, such as helping to protect 79823m² of seagrass via a partnership with the Marine Conservation Society.
