Who you are
- Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus three years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation

What the job involves
- Design new software applications and features focused on the quality and efficiency of search engine optimization (SEO)
- Use big data processing systems to help with eBay’s site-facing services that answer billions of requests through front-end experience
- Research, analyze, design, develop, and test the solutions that are appropriate for the business and technology strategies
- Deliver high-quality development of Java applications that integrate with backend systems
- Provide documentation of code systems and support of production applications and ensure code quality and maintainability by evolving architecture and tech stack, refactoring, standards and improving build and test systems
- Develop test automation code for software and perform functional and non-functional testing including web accessibility, product app security, server-side load and performance, and client-side page speed
- Document defects and work with the software development team to prioritize and troubleshoot
- Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance
- 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m
