Role
Who you are
- The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and entrepreneurial seller with a proven track record of exceeding revenue goals, developing new business and building lasting client relationships
- You have 7+ years of experience in media, advertising or digital sales, with a demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
- You have strong relationships across major media agencies and/or brands and know how to develop new relationships and open doors
- You’re a proactive seller who is comfortable prospecting, building pipeline and growing a book of business—not simply managing existing accounts
- You’re a strategic and consultative seller who can understand a client’s business objectives and translate them into compelling media and content solutions
- You have experience selling integrated media, digital, audio, video, social, creator/influencer or branded content solutions. Podcast and audio experience is a plus
- You understand the broader digital advertising ecosystem, including both direct and programmatic buying
- You’re an excellent communicator and storyteller who is confident presenting to clients and senior stakeholders
- You have strong negotiation and closing skills and are comfortable navigating complex deals and organizations
- You’re commercially minded, accountable and motivated by achieving ambitious goals
- You’re highly collaborative and know that the strongest client solutions often require bringing together teams and expertise from across an organization
- You thrive in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment and are comfortable adapting as the marketplace evolves
- You have a genuine enthusiasm for podcasts, creators and the changing media landscape
What the job involves
- We’re looking for an experienced, driven Account Director to join Acast’s U.S. sales team as a quota-carrying seller
- In this role, you’ll own and grow a portfolio of key agency and brand-direct relationships while proactively identifying and developing new business opportunities
- You’ll be responsible for building strong relationships with decision-makers, uncovering client needs and developing creative, strategic solutions that drive meaningful results for advertisers—and revenue growth for Acast
- You understand how to navigate agencies and brands, create opportunities where they may not already exist, and confidently sell complex and integrated ideas
- Experience in podcasting or audio is a plus, but not a requirement
- We’re equally interested in candidates with strong experience across digital media, video, social, branded content, creator marketing or other fast-moving areas of the advertising ecosystem
- You’ll represent Acast’s full suite of advertising capabilities - from audio and programmatic to creator-led sponsorships, branded content, and integrated partnerships - and help advertisers tap into the influence, creativity, and cultural relevance of podcast creators
- This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic and ambitious seller to join one of the leading companies in podcasting and play a meaningful role in the continued growth of Acast’s U.S. business
- Own and grow advertising revenue across an assigned portfolio of agency and brand-direct partners while actively developing new business
- Build and deepen relationships with key decision-makers across agencies and brands, from day-to-day teams through senior leadership
- Identify whitespace within your territory and proactively build a strong pipeline of new advertisers, campaigns and incremental revenue opportunities
- Develop strategic, insight-led solutions that address clients’ business and marketing objectives
- Sell across Acast’s full advertising ecosystem, including audio, sponsorships, programmatic, branded content, creator-led partnerships and integrated opportunities
- Lead the sales process from prospecting and ideation through proposal development, negotiation and close
- Deliver against individual revenue targets while maintaining a healthy and consistent pipeline
- Stay close to clients and the broader marketplace to understand evolving priorities, challenges and opportunities
- Partner closely with internal teams across Creative Strategy, Content, Marketing, Account Management, Operations and Finance to develop and deliver best-in-class client solutions
- Collaborate with sales counterparts across Acast’s global footprint to unlock opportunities across markets
- Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting and sales activity in Salesforce
- Represent Acast at industry events, client meetings and other marketplace opportunities, serving as a strong ambassador for the Acast brand

Acast publish podcasts to all podcast apps such as Amazon, Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
Acast is used by worldwide brands such as the Guardian, BBC, HuffPost, VICE, Vogue, and the Financial Times. It enables creators and advertisers to foster meaningful relationships with listeners, while giving anyone access to insightful, educational, and entertaining audio content.
Its acquisition of Podchaser - one of the most comprehensive podcast databases in the world - in 2022 meant that Acast could begin to build a structured metadata portfolio for the market. Propping up its creator network, it acquired Backyard in 2026, giving it access to some of the largest names in podcasting. Solidifying its status, Acast has now built tools for listeners, creators and advertisers that enable monetisation and accelerated global reach.
