Desirable
- Knowledge of the Luxembourg rental market, or experience in building new markets
- Background in real estate, furnished rentals, coliving, or property management
- Experience launching or scaling a new market or city (e.g., startup, expansion team)
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Freshsales) and/or marketplace platforms
What the job involves
- Our Business Development team plays a key role in driving the growth of Wunderflats: We identify new business opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and continuously develop processes to further optimize our offering
- As an Expansion Manager – Luxembourg, you will drive the growth of Wunderflats in Luxembourg
- Your goal is to sustainably expand our market in Luxembourg and ensure that more and more people find the right home away from home
- You will further expand our housing supply in Luxembourg by acquiring new private (individual) landlords and key accounts for Wunderflats and successfully bringing them on board
- You will be the first point of contact for tenants and landlords, supporting them from the initial interaction to the completed rental contract – with strong advisory skills, negotiation talent, and a clear understanding of their needs
- You will provide long-term support to existing landlords, strengthen their engagement with our platform, and help them market their apartments in the best possible way
- You will ensure that booking processes run smoothly – acting as an interface between landlords, tenants, and our internal team
- You will monitor market trends, identify new opportunities, and actively contribute your ideas to continuously improve our offering and processes
- With your contribution, you directly help ensure that Luxembourg becomes one of our most successful markets – measurable through bookings, revenue, and satisfied customers
Our take
The rise of technology for remote working, alongside the number of companies offering the set-up as an employment perk, has seen a marked increase in the number of digital nomads spending extended amounts of time working from abroad. As a result, the market for for mid- to long-term lets is growing, with demand anticipated to continue rising over the coming years. Proptech company Wunderflats is taking advantage of this trend.
Wunderflats has a broad scope; covering company travel arrangements, lettings for families & students, and a full furnishing and property management service. With operations beginning in Germany, the company found a lucrative testing ground that enabled it to showcase the popularity of its service, which in turn enabled it to secure growth funding. With this, it has brought its offering to 6 German cities, as well as beginning European expansion with Paris.
Germany has one of the largest rental markets in the EU, in addition to being one of the more popular destinations for digital nomads, which definitely contributed to Wunderflats gaining an edge over other hospitality providers. As the company brings its product to other EU markets, it will be interesting to watch how it effectively handles expansion and adaption to the demands of other countries and their consumers.
