Who you are

A relevant tax or accounting qualification (ATT, CTA, ACCA, ACA, CIMA)
An entrepreneurial mindset
At least 4 years’ experience working in direct tax, ideally (but not necessarily) within growing tech companies or small businesses
Working knowledge of HMRC processes; experience of liaising directly with HMRC
To be confident advising across a range of tax matters, including S/EIS, Share options, EIS and other incentives base relief (and desirable but not necessary: knowledge of incentives & reliefs such as R&D or VGTR)
A strong team spirit

You’ll work across our entire business, providing tax advice to our product, sales and CX teams to strengthen our offering and support our subscribers
You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to our knowledge bank, product roadmap and our own internal tax and financial needs and much more (you can even learn to code)

Increasing numbers of startups are getting funded in the UK and all require legal help with their financing.

SeedLegals identified a big burning pain: no founder wants to handle a bad fundraising experience because of legals. Previously founders would have to pay a decent chunk of the money they've just worked hard to raise, but the SeedLegals platform has provided a step change in cost.

The focus on a very specific niche (startups) has meant they have built a very tailored product, and word of mouth within startups is strong.

While they primarily focus on helping companies with fundraising, they also offer additional services (e.g. option schemes), and they're in a strong position to expand their offering to other legal needs.
