Role
Who you are
- This role is ideal for someone with advanced billing experience who thrives in problem-solving and process optimizations
- You have 2+ years of high-volume billing and invoicing experience, including handling billing disputes. Court reporter billing experience is a plus!
- You excel at problem-solving and process improvement
- You can effectively manage escalations and communicate
- You are proficient in Mac and PC and master new systems quickly; Google Workspace, Slack, and Zendesk experience is preferred
- You are organized, adaptable, and comfortable wearing multiple hats
- You have a customer-first mindset, ensuring timely and accurate billing while maintaining positive client relationships

What the job involves
- We are looking for a Billing Associate to join our Winning Team, which is revolutionizing the court reporting industry every single day
- We’re a diverse team from all over the country (and beyond) and we’re crazy about redefining the boundaries of an outdated industry
- As Steno’s Billing Associate, you will handle more complex billing processes, including firm and provider billing discrepancies, escalations, and workflow improvements
- You’ll work closely with internal teams to optimize billing operations
- Manage complex billing issues and escalations
- Review and process invoices with precision
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine billing workflows
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve efficiency
- Resolve Billing Discrepancies: Identify and correct inconsistencies between order requests, provider rates and billing information
- Monitor & Respond to Billing Requests: Actively track Slack channels for complex billing-related inquiries, providing timely resolutions
