Who you are

Minimum of 4+ years experience selling into Financial Institutions and/or Fintechs, preferably marketing related products and services
A proven track record of exceeding revenue goals
Consultative approach to selling, with an ability to understand a partner’s needs and develop solutions
Experience negotiating contract terms and closing deals
High-degree of professional presence
Tech savvy with ability to be conversant in how our technology can be integrated both for user experience, and high-level data flows
Strong understanding of Financial Consumer Marketing Strategies, affiliate Marketing a plus
Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
Highly motivated, driven, and passionate about partner relationships
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce or similar applications
Established industry relationships and experience working with executive level business and marketing leaders a plus

What the job involves

The Account Executive will have proven success understanding partner needs, then crafting, positioning and customizing solutions, and finally negotiating and closing deals
As a member of the sales team you will be focused on working with Fintechs and Financial institutions to integrate MoneyLion into their Customer Acquisition strategy, as well as into their Consumer monetization and non bank revenue strategies
This individual will be proactive, driven and resilient through long sales cycles, an excellent communicator with executive presence, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. The Account Executive will profile and develop relationships with senior-level decision makers to structure and execute new partnerships that address customer needs while generating revenue for Engine by Moneylion and his/her partners
Identify, negotiate, and close new Financial Institution & Fintech Consumer Marketing Partnerships (banks, Fintechs, insurance providers) and verticals (Lending, Deposits, Cards)
Utilize a consultative approach to evaluate new business opportunities, deal-sizing, analyze competitors, recommend strategies, and lead proposal/face-to-face negotiations to win new business
Maintain a strong cadence of networking, contacting and engaging prospects via warm intros as well as cold outreach, effectively communicating Engine ’s value proposition
Follow through with all aspects of the sales cycle – from initial prospecting, managing internal communication, reviewing deal terms, to contract execution
Consistently deliver superior customer service to partners, and be seen as a trusted thought partner
Provide timely guidance and forecasting to leadership on all pipeline sales opportunities
Prepare and deliver effective presentations, reports and pricing proposals
Find creative ways to uncover opportunities and strengthen relationships

Whilst legacy banks have traditionally been focused on a specific service within the financial industry, MoneyLion has built a full-service digital platform to deliver mobile banking, lending, and investment solutions. From their app, users can get a complete overview of their financial lives.

It is a neobank on the rise. Since its launch in 2013, MoneyLion has signed up nearly 8 million users, doubled its revenue between 2020-2021 and acquired a stake in digital asset settlement provider Zero Hash, adding crypto-based investing to their platform.

However, this is a highly competitive industry and one that in the first quarter of 2023, was highly volatile. MoneyLion also has big competition against the likes of Chime, Revolut, and RobinHood. Whilst competitive and operating within an evolving space, MoneyLion is continuing on a strong path through its marketplace strategy, matching members with partner brands and saw an increase in revenue through 2023.
