What the job involves

Collaborate on and make proposals for engineering work across teams / domains, aiding engineers and product managers in making informed decisions in alignment with strategic goals
Provide thought leadership across the teams in the domain and drive initiatives to raise the bar
Be a trusted advisor to the ELT (Engineering Leadership Team) surfacing opportunities and proactively identifying risks
Act as a point of escalation for teams facing complex technical challenges
Proactively identify opportunities to reuse or generalize existing services and product features to avoid duplication of effort and encourage collaboration
Commit to ensuring our customers have an exceptional experience with our products
Mentor and provide advice to individual contributors across teams and domains
Engage with support teams as the final level of escalation for tickets
Participate in our on-call rotation for troubleshooting production issues

Okta started off as an identity company where organisations, large and small, could tap into the company to have a single sign-on interface to access all cloud applications now centralised. Okta has since expanded to provide identity management at the device as well as the server level.

The new approach towards network security is increasingly based on identification and authentication, and Okta is on track to become the go-to vendor in the space. It aims to do so by developing products that enable people to access applications and other tools more smoothly and securely than ever before.

Okta has taken strides towards expansion through significant employee growth and shuffling executive leadership. The company has also made lateral moves such as tackling governance concerns, opening up new paths for revenue.
