Role
Who you are
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Sciences, or equivalent experience required
- Five to seven (5-7) years of experience in product management and software development process experience
- Background in iOS and Android development
Desirable
- Experience with mobile app development for public safety applications
- Experience with data analytics and user insights
- Familiarity with product management tools (e.g., Invision, Jira, Aha!)
What the job involves
- Reporting to the VP of Product, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Mobile Product Manager with a solid background in iOS and Android development to join our team focused on enhancing public safety solutions
- As the Mobile Product Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing and managing mobile applications that empower first responders and law enforcement agencies to effectively address emergency situations
- Your expertise in mobile app development and interest in public safety will be essential in shaping innovative solutions that make a positive impact on communities
- Develop a clear and comprehensive mobile product strategy and roadmap
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify critical needs and prioritize features
- Lead end-to-end product development for iOS and Android applications
- Ensure mobile products adhere to relevant legal and industry requirements
- Utilize data analytics and user insights to inform decision-making
- Oversee the release process of mobile app updates on iOS and Android platforms
- Manage backlog and release management processes
- Facilitate the creation and maintenance of proper product documentation
- Provide training and support to increase software product adoption within customers
Our take
In the US, emergency responders are constantly looking for ways to decrease response times, but the fragmented nature of the American emergency response service can make this difficult. RapidDeploy provides dispatch technology and analytics to 911 centers, using new mobile technology to improve communication with responders, and help them get to those who need help more quickly.
RapidDeploy's system includes RadiusPlus, a mapping platform that aggregates data to help centers determine locations and assess situations; Eclipse Analytics, that helps triage emergencies so the best response can be identified; and Nimbus CAD that identifies who should be called. In addition to this, a partnership with Rave Mobile Safety saw the introduction of the "Rave Panic Button", which can be installed by institutions to provide first responders with critical information and improved communication options.
RapidDeploy has recently raised significant funding that will help consolidate its position and accelerate go-to-market initiatives. As the only truly open integrated response platform, it remains for now unchallenged in the space - serving 10 state-wide contracts and over 1,500 911 centers.
