Who you are
- 10+ years of related experience (i.e. experience in business, operational leadership roles in a global SaaS Sales environment)
- Experience at a $100-150 million revenue company, reporting directly to the C-Suite
- Significant Saleforce.com, data analytics, reporting and interpretation experience to support revenue/sales operations across product lines - working with our data science teams to manipulate the data
- Experience in crafting strategic vision, making data-driven business decisions, including identifying gaps or business needs, and innovating and scaling solutions
- Exceptional written/verbal communication and presentation skills
- Effective organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Ability to work independently with a high degree of accountability, while also able to collaborate cross-functionally with exceptional intrapersonal skills Proven ability to thrive in a fluid, fast-paced, unpredictable environment
- Demonstrated experience, knowledge and expertise within SaaS / Enterprise Software
- Extensive experience engaging at an executive level both internally with cross-functional groups and externally with partners
- Proven record of leading a diverse, high performing team across geographical regions and experience building high-performing, inclusive teams
- Demonstrated passion for operations, data intelligence and hygiene, enablement, and thorough understanding of cross-functional alignment in a global environment
- Strong ability to interact and influence effectively with all C-level executives and senior leaders
- Manage sales analytics and providing detailed and accurate sales metrics to measure effectiveness of the sales team and ROI of new sales initiatives
- Unquestionable ethics, integrity and business judgment; you share our values, and work in accordance with those values
- Proven track record of success with a history of achieving customer retention and expansion sales goals
- Strong experience with Salesforce, Microsoft, Tableau and/or other data analytics tools
What the job involves
- The Vice President of Revenue Operations reports to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and is critical to driving the Revenue organization toward achievement of strategic goals, operational excellence, and achievement of revenue targets
- A key member of the revenue leadership team, this role provides insights and analysis to guide our overall strategic direction ensuring business plans that support rapid revenue growth and scalability of our operations
- The VP or Rev Ops drives revenue effectiveness by establishing measurable processes to improve revenue efficiency and determine growth goals
- Planning, reporting, quota setting and management, and sales, renewals and marketing process optimization
- Managing the overall productivity and effectiveness of the revenue organization
- Fostering close working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the company's success
- Managing revenue growth strategy and execution, operations, renewals and data analysis to support global go-to-market initiatives
- Collaborating with senior leaders of field sales, renewals and marketing to drive annual revenue operations planning cycles and alignment across cross-functional businesses
- Developing and influencing new processes and technologies that optimize the path for supporting the revenue growth of the businesses globally across all routes to market
- Partnering with field sales leadership to identify strategic priorities and opportunities for the team, overseeing objectives and key results, and ensuring focus is on highest-impact initiatives
- Partnering with relevant GTM Teams and Revenue Strategy to leverage performance analytics, influence cross-functional revenue programs and escalate relevant topics
- Building strong working relationships with executives and key leaders across GTM teams (e.g. product, engineering, marketing, services, information technology and finance) and influence the goals and priorities of stakeholders whose mission aligns with that of field operations
- Building, developing and managing a diverse team of high-performing managers: Building and maintaining a world-class, inclusive, diverse, high-performing team by driving effective onboarding, on-going training, retention with a strong remote culture
- Full ownership of the revenue forecasting methodology, process and weekly operational cadence
- Coordinating with Finance, Marketing and other departments to provide meaningful reporting, metrics and analysis that deliver key business insights
- Driving annual bottoms up business plans and forecasting
Our take
Companies are facing increasing competition to attract job seekers and therefore need new ways to make interviewing processes more accessible. Hirevue does exactly this, working with companies to conduct video interviews - live or recorded - that are scheduled around a candidate’s availability.
In order to do so, the company has deployed the use of artificial intelligence, which assesses and scores a candidate based on skills like problem-solving and communication. This not only doubles the number of interviews and hires that a company can make (in less than half the time) but improves candidate quality. For this reason, companies like Amazon and Unilever deploy its services to scale and accelerate their hiring processes, a great reflection of the quality of Hirevue's offering.
The company has met criticism, however, with some claiming its analysis of factors like facial movements, word choice or speaking voice is simply a blend of superficial measurements and arbitrary number-crunching that could be seen as unfair discrimination. Despite this, Hirevue does seem to have found an interesting angle into the fruitful hiring industry and will look to expand its position over the coming years.
