Who you are
- A J.D. and 2 – 5 years of relevant legal experience
- The ability to manage multiple business partner groups on a daily basis by appropriately prioritizing matters
- Clear and concise (but polite) communication skills

- The adaptability to adjust your legal counsel to business needs while knowing where and when to not compromise

What the job involves
- FabFitFun is looking for a Commercial Counsel to join our Legal team!
- Reporting to our Chief Commercial & Privacy Counsel, you will be an integral part of our legal team, primarily counseling in the areas of commercial contracting, corporate matters, advertising & marketing, promotions, digital product, privacy & information security, subscriptions & automatic renewals, and customer relations
- Review redlines to the company’s template non-disclosure agreements and contracts for the engagement of services and the purchase of physical goods
- Prepare redlines to third-party templates for the purchase of goods and services such as warehouse machinery, technical hardware, software services, and technology platforms
- Manage the company’s vendor insurance platform and related processes
- Manage the gathering of information for the company’s annual insurance applications
- Manage the gathering of materials in response to subpoenas
- Review advertising and marketing collateral, including corporate social media ads, influencer content, marketing emails, television commercials, podcast episodes, and website pages
- Counsel on advertising law compliance, including testimonials and endorsements, claim substantiation, digital disclosures, and consumer ratings & reviews
- Draft rules for the company’s sweepstakes, contests, and promotions
- Assist the department’s senior attorneys with counseling on consumer protection, privacy and information security, compliance, corporate governance, and litigation matters, as needed

FabFitFun is a subscription service that delivers home decor, beauty, fashion and wellness products directly to its subscriber's doors. Subscribers can choose between two different plans and can either pre-pay for 4 boxes a year or pay-as-they-go for a slightly increased price.
The brand targets a premium market and faces competition from numerous other subscription services such as Birchbox, GLOSSYBOX and CAUSEBOX. Users are able to customize some of the products in their box, whereas other products are unchangeable 'surprises'. For brands, the box is a new way to find customers and engage with them.
During the pandemic, FabFitFun doubled subscribers, capitalizing on both the rise of self-care and 'stay at home' restrictions. It has maintained momentum, delivering new features and perks for members, in addition to securing a patent that enables parcel services to serve targeted ads via package tracking pages, status email updates, and other channels, which could prove lucrative for its future. In 2024, it began cementing its place in the pet marketplace by acquiring monthly subscription petcare company PupBox, indicating that FabFitFun is still searching for new and lucrative markets.
