Who you are
- Your attention to detail and analytical skills will contribute to the overall financial performance and strategic decision-making of the company
- Experience in finance transformation with a focus on accounting and treasury functions
- Hands-on mentality with a willingness to get involved in detailed financial tasks, as this is an IC (individual contributor) role
- Strong project management and stakeholder management skills with a demonstrated ability to lead and manage financial projects in relation to transformation or post-merger integration
- Ideally 4 - 6 years of experience in finance and/or accounting
- Extensive knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting and modeling
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Hands-on mentality with a willingness to get involved in detailed financial tasks
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management
- Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Excel
- Professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Adaptability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
What the job involves
- As a Finance Transformation Lead at Taxfix, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our group's financial operations
- You will obtain a holistic overview of the controllership (Accounting, Statutory Filing, Tax, Treasury, and International operations) and assist and/or be responsible for managing financial and transformational projects, managing statutory reporting, and becoming a reliable business partner for our group entities
- Support projects such as helping new entities onboard onto our existing systems, internalizing accounts receivable, treasury system implementation, further standardization, automation, and documentation of core finance processes, and deeper integration of ERPs/NetSuite
- Identify and manage finance transformation projects to improve efficiency and effectiveness in our group-wide accounting and finance processes
- Manage and drive documentation of accounting processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with statutory filing requirements and enhance the internal control environment
- Identify and implement process improvements, new system implementations, and related automation, also in connection with post-merger integration projects
- Collaborate across G&A as well as company-wide, to drive cross-functional finance and drive the financial strategy and finance business process optimization
- Act as the primary finance business partner for our group subsidiaries, especially internationally
- Prepare and/or assist in month-end closing processes and assist in timely and accurate preparation of statutory accounts in compliance with local regulations/GAAP
- Assist in and manage treasury and other related cash flow and banking operations tasks within the wider group
- Handle VAT reporting and compliance, ensuring timely and accurate submissions
- Coordinate with the central accounting team and external auditors to facilitate audit processes and resolve any issues regarding group subsidiaries
- Stay on top of changes in financial regulations and ensure company compliance, also across international markets

Taxfix serves as a personal tax accountant, something that many of its users can't afford or don't have access to. The app functions much like any chatbot, offering in-depth guidance and optimising the tax filing process. Users can typically file their taxes in under 20 minutes using the app, which will appeal to anyone looking to save time and effort on their personal finances. Taxfix is not alone in offering this sort of service, but it sets itself apart from rivals such as TurboTax thanks to its mobile-first approach.
The company has been well-served by its innovative and attractive app interface and acquired its German competitor Steuerbot in early 2023. With its European market covered by Berlin and Madrid offices, 2024 saw its entrance into the UK market by acquiring smaller competitor Taxscouts, establishing itself as the European leader in its sector.
