- This role is ideal for an experienced event marketer who is equally comfortable managing detailed execution and contributing to the broader event strategy
- You see events not just as gatherings, but as a powerful way to build relationships, support product and sales initiatives, and drive awareness and growth for the business
- You understand how every detail contributes to the larger experience and know how to bring cross-functional teams together to deliver events that stand out
- 5-8 years of experience managing events, ideally within a B2B technology, SaaS, or fintech organization
- Experience owning the end-to-end execution of online and in-person events, including hosted events, industry conferences, sponsorships, and executive or customer experiences
- Demonstrated experience partnering closely with Product, Sales, and Marketing teams to develop events that support go-to-market priorities and measurable business goals
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple events, timelines, budgets, and stakeholders simultaneously
- Experience working with online event platforms such as Zoom and CRM or marketing automation tools such as HubSpot or Salesforce
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with executives, internal teams, speakers, vendors, and external partners
- A proactive, detail-oriented mindset and a passion for creating thoughtful, high-quality experiences
- A collaborative, team-oriented approach. You thrive in cross-functional environments and are comfortable taking ownership while working toward shared goals
- Willingness to travel as needed for industry and hosted events

What the job involves
- We’re looking for an Event Marketing Manager to join our Events Team
- Reporting to the Senior Manager of Event Marketing, you’ll own the planning and execution of Altruist’s online and in-person events, delivering exceptional experiences that strengthen our brand, engage financial advisors, support key business priorities, and drive measurable results
- Event strategy, operations & execution
- Lead the planning and execution of Altruist’s online event series, including programming, speaker coordination, marketing promotion, production, and post-event reporting
- Manage the execution of Altruist’s industry event roadmap, including sponsorship strategy and deliverables, vendor coordination, internal planning, and on-site execution
- Own event timelines, project plans, budgets, and production details to ensure events are delivered smoothly, on time, and within budget
- Identify opportunities to improve event processes, attendee experiences, and overall program effectiveness
- Marketing & promotion
- Partner with the broader Marketing team to develop and coordinate event promotion across email, social, and other relevant channels
- Manage attendee communications and engagement strategies to drive registration, participation, and follow-up
- Ensure event messaging and experiences align with Altruist’s brand, product priorities, and broader marketing strategy
- Cross-functional collaboration
- Work closely with stakeholders across Marketing, Product, Sales, and Content to ensure events support strategic priorities and business goals
- Partner with Product and Sales teams to understand key audiences, product initiatives, customer needs, and opportunities to support pipeline and revenue objectives through events
- Coordinate with executives, speakers, internal subject matter experts, agency partners, and vendors to deliver a seamless event experience
- Serve as a trusted event partner who can manage competing priorities, communicate clearly, and keep stakeholders aligned throughout the planning process
- Reporting & optimization
- Track and analyze key event metrics, including registrations, attendance, engagement, lead outcomes, pipeline influence, and attendee feedback
- Develop post-event reports that summarize performance, key learnings, and recommendations for future programs
- Use event data and stakeholder feedback to continually improve Altruist’s event strategy and execution

The world of wealth management is changing fast, and financial advisors are feeling the strain. Between managing client expectations, navigating complex regulations, and keeping up with endless admin tasks, there's little time left for what really matters - helping clients make smarter financial decisions.
And that's where Altruist comes in, with AI-powered solutions built to make it easier for advisors to manage portfolios, handle compliance and deliver great client experiences. Its AI assistant, Hazel, is able to take on the day-to-day tasks that slow advisors down (think note-taking, email drafting, and meeting summarising). It can also pull insights from firm data, emails, and documents to give personalized, context-aware answers to questions.
The company has faced some bumps in the road, notably laying off around 15% of its workforce in 2025. That said, this shift to focus on the most impactful parts of its business is not entirely negative. In fact, its plan to build an all-in-one custody and wealth platform driven by Hazel is coming faster than the company anticipated, with the CEO stating that it could make much of the advisor tech stack irrelevant by the end of the year.
