Who you are
- With a degree in engineering, operations management, economics, marketing, or a related field or currently enrolled in a degree
- Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills (experience with Excel formulas, pivot tables, or basic SQL is a strong plus)
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for business development and innovation
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (French & English)
- Proactive and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
What the job involves
- As an Intern at Lime you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in operations, business development, and strategic partnerships. This internship is ideal for a highly motivated, analytical, proactive, data-savvy and entrepreneurial-minded individual
- Identify and onboard new business partners for swap stations
- Develop and implement strategies to increase user adoption and engagement with the Swap Stations
- Support the program’s performance optimization by helping improve operational efficiency, reduce costs and enhance the overall user experience
- Drive B2B outreach and partnerships for private parking and Lime for Business initiatives
- Manage the allocation of bikes to private partners, ensuring seamless integration
- Track and analyze performance metrics when making data-driven recommendations
- Support external meetings and attend local events to strengthen partnerships and visibility
- Support in identifying market trends and opportunities, providing actionable insights
- Adapt to strategy changes, demonstrating flexibility and problem-solving skills
- Prepare high-quality deliverables and present findings to the management team
Our take
In recent years, electric-powered mobility companies have attracted an extraordinary amount of interest and funding, in part due to rising eco-friendly sentiment, and in part because of the race to "find the next Uber". Lime is one such company, that has rapidly scaled across multiple geographies to be a key player in the fight for market leadership.
Lime, along with its competitors, has had to grapple with regulation in many of its target markets, but nonetheless has steadily increased its footprint. Since its launch, the company has facilitated millions of trips, making it one of the biggest companies of its kind. Interestingly, the CEO has stated that "cars are our true business rivals—not other scooter companies", suggesting that its biggest business challenge will be to get families to give up their second cars.
With a presence that spans an impressive number of regions - most recently Lime has begun operating in Qatar - the company has cemented itself in the micromobility market, and stands to profit from the increasing popularity of these types of services. Across 2022, a substantial increase in ridership enabled Lime to achieve a "full profitable year", with suggestions it will pursue an IPO in the near future.
