- As we continue to accelerate our North American expansion, we are building a world-class Solutions Engineering function that plays a critical role in helping organizations solve complex identity verification, fraud prevention, and data intelligence challenges
- The North American Solutions Engineering team is a high-performing group of technical consultants, trusted advisors, and problem-solvers who partner closely with Sales, Product, and Customer Success to drive customer outcomes and revenue growth
- This team is instrumental in positioning GBG as a strategic partner to some of the region's most innovative organizations

- As Director of Solutions Engineering, you will lead, mentor, and scale a team of Solutions Engineers across North America, driving technical excellence throughout the customer buying journey
- Partnering closely with Sales leadership, you will develop winning presales strategies, guide complex enterprise opportunities, and ensure customers clearly understand the business value of GBG's solutions
- This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both strategic vision and active customer engagement
- You will coach and develop top technical talent, drive presales best practices, and help shape the future of the function through the adoption of AI-enabled tools and processes
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Solutions Engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and continuous growth
- Drive the technical sales strategy across North America, guiding discovery, solution design, demonstrations, and customer evaluations
- Partner closely with Sales leadership to align presales activities with revenue objectives and accelerate business growth
- Establish and scale best-in-class presales methodologies, processes, and tools to improve consistency, efficiency, and customer outcomes
- Act as a trusted advisor and executive sponsor on strategic enterprise opportunities, helping customers solve complex identity, fraud, and data challenges
- Champion the adoption of AI-enabled practices and technologies to enhance team productivity, customer engagement, and technical differentiation
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product and Engineering teams to translate customer and market insights into future product innovation
- Leverage data and performance metrics to optimize technical win rates, evaluation success, deal velocity, and overall business impact
- Attract, hire, and retain top Solutions Engineering talent while building a scalable organization capable of supporting continued growth
- Serve as a key member of the Customer Engineering leadership team, helping shape the vision, strategy, and future direction of the function
Our take
Founded in 1989 as a mailing system in Cheshire, GB Group became an information management company before several acquisitions and name changes led it full circle back to operations under GB Group - or GBG. Now valued at $706M, the company created an international identity verification service that is its current leading product.
With 21 countries under its wing and companies such as IBM and HSBC using its services, GBG simplifies employee onboarding, cyber security, and personal data protection with a friction-free digital platform.
With international revenues steadily growing, GBG managed to navigate the market from acquired startup to company-acquiring global leader. However, the rocky economic climate in the UK has led to GBG's purchase by US private equity firm GTCR in September 2022, a growing trend among foreign companies in the UK tech industry. Since then, however, GBG has gone on to win contracts with award-winning companies like Shoplazza, indicating that it has retained its momentum post-acquisition and is ready to continue upwards.
