What the job involves
- Collaborate with marketing and design teams to develop features, implement new pages, and maintain our existing web properties
- Write production-level code in Javascript/Typescript with React/Next
- Translate designs and wireframes in Figma into high-quality code
- Optimize components for maximum performance across a variety of devices and browsers
- Build proof of concepts for new ideas that we want to try out
- Contribute to our company-wide React component library and style guide
- Work in a public OSS development environment on GitHub using a git workflow
- Strong self-driven execution, ownership, and delivery

Our take
Although companies are gathering and storing more data than ever before, it can be difficult to know what to do with it. While the traditional solution is to generate regular reports, this reactive approach loses out to companies that can act in real time on data insights. However, building the infrastructure to manage real-time polling is extremely difficult, with server costs and expertise being major chokepoints. Enter Tinybird, a startup which handles the infrastructure and the messy work of making data swiftly accessible.
Tinybird works by connecting to a company's data sources, allows users to transform that data using SQL queries, and then outputs it to API endpoints which can be used by a company's application. Tinybird is fast enough to allow companies to automate processes bases on real-time data and scales well - several customers are reliably reading over 1.5 trillion rows of data per day.
Tinybird has recently moved its headquarters from Spain to the United States and closed a Series A funding round. It intends to use this investment to hire new talent in the US market, to develop its product and extend its marketing reach.
