Who you are
- 6+ years of relevant experience across Customer Success, Sales, Consulting, or Account Management (data or SAAS experience required)
- Experience managing complex customers involving multiple stakeholders
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a history of building strong user relationships
- Experience working directly with executive teams
- Ability to actively manage and consistently exceed customer expectations
- Ability to build strong cross functional relationships internally
- Ability to mobilize and quarterback cross functional resources to help your customers be widely successful
What the job involves
- The Senior Customer Success Manager (CSM) will partner closely with the Enterprise Account Management org and cross-functional partners to ensure Foursquare’s customers are achieving tremendous success
- Ensure broad adoption and evangelization of Foursquare’s Enterprise product suite
- Partner closely with your counterpart on the account management team to build and execute detailed account plans
- Uncover new opportunities within your accounts that are a good fit for Foursquare
- Actively work with customers to help guide and shape Foursquare’s own product roadmap
- Provide best in class support for your key customers
- Partner with marketing to celebrate customer wins and highlight key customer champions
- Take a relentless approach on enabling success for your customers
Our take
Foursquare was originally built as an app that used mobile phone GPS to 'check in' at certain locations. Over time, it has transformed from a user location check-in app into a large location platform that provides analytics for several business and consumer products.
Foursquare operates in a crowded market, but by continually innovating, it has successfully fended off competitors. However, with the likes of Google Maps and Facebook Places in the same industry, it will continuously need to set itself apart. Foursquare shows its appeal, though: major players, including Twitter, Uber, Apple Maps, and Airbnb, to name a few, use the platform.
The company has an ambitious goal of bringing "Foursquare Everywhere", with part of its strategy to grow by acquisitions. For example, it acquired Unfolded, a geospatial analytics firm, to help enhance its analysis of location data. Foursquare has also made a deal with social media giant TikTok to provide insights into users' in-store activity to monitor the effectiveness of ads on the video platform, and with Constellation Network to give insights into restaurant and retail business traffic trends.
