Who you are

5+ years of related professional experience, with a demonstrated track record of leading post-merger integration projects at a top-tier strategy consulting firm or within Corporate Development or equivalent group
Experience working with a major video gaming, technology or entertainment company and/or a strong passion for the video games business
Ability to combine business and operational concepts to lead multi-faceted and highly complex integration efforts
Strong team-player with ability to work with multiple cultures and to tailor work style and messaging to function effectively across globally distributed management teams
Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication and executive presence
Ability to multi-task, manage multiple projects at one time, and rapidly change priorities based on business needs
Strategic, quantitative and financial modelling skills, including the assessment of financial and operating performance
Data savvy with the ability to drill down and identify key drivers and communicate insightful, actionable recommendations
Expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and PowerPoint
Bachelor's Degree required
MBA preferred

What the job involves

Define the integration strategy to achieve business objectives towards deal value realization
Develop holistic integration plans including Day 1 scope, approach, and readiness; and drive the day-to-day execution of the integration process
Lead the end-to-end merger integration process
Actively identify and manage integration risks and solve cross-functional integration issues
Develop acquisition-related key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of transaction-value drivers
Prepare regular M&A integration status reports and / or management briefings to key stakeholders
Conduct post-mortem processes to capture end-to-end deal learnings and best practices
Become a trusted partner and work closely with stakeholders from the business unit, functional groups, and acquired team
Serve as a member of the core deal team to drive deal-related decisions and milestones and support business case development, due diligence, and other transactional matters
Stay abreast of SIE’s priorities and exemplify culture to effectively support acquired companies through the integration
Lead the refinement of integration and build-out of repeatable process strategy and toolset (e.g., playbooks, process flows, work plans) that incorporate prior experience and industry-leading practices across all key workstreams
Create and establish a peer network of best-in-class experts, to continuously bring in outside best practices and industry trends

Our take

Since the release of the PS1 in 1994, PlayStation has been a consistent leader in the video gaming market. Its consoles are iconic in the gaming community - PlayStation has produced both the top-selling and fastest-selling console of all time - and the company is still pushing boundaries. Its current flagship - the PS5 - promises to revolutionise gaming, featuring new technology that will create improvements across the board.

As well as its consoles, PlayStation has also developed online services, connecting its users and giving them access to diversified media. A PlayStation can be used for a huge range of activities - from Netflix to guided workouts - which has led to the expansion of the company's audience over time and across generations.

PlayStation faces competition in its field from the likes of Microsoft, with its Xbox range, and PC gaming, which has been becoming more popular in recent years. Regardless, PlayStation shows no signs of slowing down. The upcoming implementation of in-game ads in free games looks to significantly increase revenue, and the wider PlayStation gaming experience also appears to be evolving from plans to launch live service games in upcoming years.
