Who you are

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our Finance team
A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
Up to 2 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or reporting (experience at a financial institution is a plus)
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and/or regulatory reporting (Dutch GAAP/IFRS is a plus)
Experience with Exact, NetSuite or similar accounting software
Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
Fluent in English and Dutch (both written and spoken)
Comfortable working both independently and in a team
Eagerness to learn and grow within a fast-paced, international environment

What the job involves

In this role, you will support various financial and regulatory processes and contribute to maintaining accurate records and reports in compliance with local and internal standards
Support the preparation of accounting entries and financial documentation
Assist in the timely and accurate preparation of financial reports and statements (Dutch GAAP)
Help with regulatory reporting tasks, including FinRep and liquidity reports
Participate in monthly closings and reconciliations
Collaborate with the IT/development team to help improve financial systems and tools
Assist with internal and external audit processes
Supporting cash management (monitoring balances, liquidity overviews)
Contribute to improving internal controls and documentation
Provide general support to the Finom Group Finance Department
