Role
Who you are
- The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal and critical-thinking skills, capable of fostering collaborative relationships in a fast-paced environment
- 3+ years experience in account management, customer success and/or sales
- 1-3 years experience in financial analysis, reporting, and decision-making related to financial impact
- Prior experience in a client-facing role (required)
- Industry experience in vacation rentals, real estate, and/or hospitality (preferred)
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills, with the ability to develop and execute strategies that minimize risk and drive financial performance
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to foster relationships and enhance strategic service offerings
- Creative problem-solving abilities, with a knack for identifying innovative opportunities
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines
- Experience leading cross-functional collaboration to drive high-impact projects
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify process improvement opportunities

What the job involves
- An Account Manager in Owner Relations to manage key property owner relationships, ensure owner satisfaction, and swiftly resolve challenges
- Develop and strengthen relationships with property owners through proactive communication, serving as the subject matter expert on their properties and markets
- Analyze and optimize property performance by evaluating financial metrics, comparing underwriting to actual results, and collaborating cross-functionally to drive improvements
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues by working closely with internal teams and utilizing platforms such as Salesforce, Zendesk, and other proprietary booking management systems
- Identify and promote opportunities for additional services, including professional photography, interior design consultations, and marketing campaigns, to enhance property visibility and rental income
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Real Estate, Onboarding, Revenue Management, and Operations teams to identify growth opportunities, support new property onboarding, and strengthen internal relationships - driving portfolio expansion and operational efficiency
- Meet and maintain AvantStay standards by achieving key performance metrics related to owner satisfaction and engagement
- Provide support for your team by assisting with escalated guest and homeowner concerns, responding to emails, calls, and tickets - especially during high-volume periods or when team members are out of office
Our take
AvantStay provides short term property rentals specifically tailored for group travel. Unlike online travel agencies who act as middlemen between property managers and travellers, AvantStay owns and operates all of the properties it rents out. This means they can maintain consistency and quality of service across the entire business – crucial for developing strong brand loyalty.
Award-winning interior designers have worked on all the properties, specifically designing all spaces with groups in mind, and guests have access to an app where they can easily choose add-on services such as spa treatments, grocery delivery or a private chef.
AvantStay now has over 600 properties in 60 cities and has plans for further expansion outside of the US. The business is investing in growing its portfolio, as well as further evolving its operational technology infrastructure, improving services by, for example, a partnership with Allianz Partners to offer customers trip cancellation and trip interruption coverage.
