Role
Who you are
- To thrive in this role, you'll need experience of managing pay-per-click campaigns, specifically Google AdWords, paired with an understanding of performance marketing landscapes and challenges such as privacy and attribution
- Ability, or willingness to learn how, to extract insight from various platforms to help decision making, such as Excel and Google Analytics
- Experience of running mobile app marketing campaigns
- Experience of managing Apple Search Ads
What the job involves
- We'll look to you to drive the rapid growth of our customer base through delivering best-in-class digital strategies. You'll be supporting the execution of paid search and social strategies across various channels and making recommendations for daily budget optimisations
- Supporting our Performance Media team across paid search including Search, Discovery, YouTube, UAC, Apple Search Ads and Bing, paid social such as Meta and TikTok, and affiliate channels
- Supporting and driving creative testing and optimisation strategies
- Supporting the execution of tests and articulation of the learnings Mettle can derive from it to optimise towards its objectives

As a subsidiary of Natwest, it offers account holders the security of traditional banking as well as a modern, app-based banking experience.
Mettle is Natwest’s first foray into digital-only banking, and a vital move for the bank as it faces intense competition from neobanks such as Tide and Revolut. Business customers have come to expect low fees, rapid customer support and a clean mobile interface, which Natwest and other traditional banks have struggled with in the past. Mettle has shown that Natwest can adapt and even outflank new market entrants: in contrast to its competitors its account has no fees.
Mettle’s approach has paid dividends, experiencing rapid growth since its public launch. Still in startup mode, it is aiming to capture market share and improve customer engagement. It is rapidly closing in on Tide and is hoping to become the bank of choice for Britain’s estimated 4.5 million small business owners, sole traders and gig economy workers.
