- Besides an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to deal with constant change, we would like you to have:
- At least 7 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, ideally in combination with Big4 audit background or similar
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including HGB and IFRS reporting requirements
- Ideally, experience working in a local subsidiary of a larger international group
- Strong skills in MS Excel
- Experience from working with MS Dynamics / Business Central / Navision is considered an advantage
- Fluency in English and German
- You have a relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
What the job involves
- We’re seeking a driven professional to join our Finance team in Berlin and play a key role in shaping our financial operations
- In this position, you’ll take full ownership of group reporting and financial analysis across all Aira GmbH entities
- You’ll also be instrumental in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with GAAP/IFRS
- Collaboration is central to this role—you’ll work closely with our finance team in Germany as well as our Finance HQ in Stockholm
- Additionally, you’ll manage external relationships with auditors, ensuring compliance and best financial practices
- As Aira continues to scale, this is your chance to shape financial processes, drive efficiency improvements, and enhance reporting accuracy
- Your expertise will directly contribute to building a strong financial foundation for our future growth
- Prepare monthly group reporting for German entities in accordance with IFRS
- Financial analysis of accounts and reports
- Ensure statutory financial reports in accordance with GHB for German entities
- Coordinate with external service providers, auditors, and tax advisors to ensure regulatory and group compliance
- Identify and drive improvement initiatives for the accounting team to increase accuracy in reporting and ensure efficient ways of working
- Collaborate with Group Accounting to ensure alignment on reporting standards and processes

Our take
Furnaces and air conditioners used in many homes are massive greenhouse emitters, which is a significant problem for our climate. Meet Aira, who are manufacturing and selling energy-efficient and climate-friendly alternatives. It’s not just energy efficiency that is driving the heat pump market; heating cost reductions of up to 40% paired with CO2 emission reductions of up to 75% combine to make air source heat pumps much better value for money.
Aira’s heat pump technology is infused with software that allows it to adapt and regulate to the unique environments in which it’s installed. Affordable payment plans are just another incentive to switch to a cleaner energy source.
Aira’s focus at present is the European market. Its 2024-raised 64 million euros will accelerate the production of Aira pumps in Poland-based plants, whilst focusing its expansion efforts on Germany, Italy and the UK. The substantial capital raise will also help the company develop new products and services for its customers.
