Who you are
- Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field, plus 5 years of experience in the job offered position, Controller, Finance Director or related occupation
- Analytical and data modeling to improve operational performance
- Multiple worksheets and external databases, using pivot tables, and writing nested functions
- USGAAP and financial statement reporting
- Relational databases (Access), and data mining or statistical analysis tools (Business Objects, BPC)
- Developing price and cost structures
- Using financial reports to identify potential risks, performing cost benefit analyses, and conducting differential analyses to determine the benefits from strategic partners
What the job involves
- VP - Finance (Live Nation Worldwide, Inc.; Beverly Hills, CA): Manage key aspects of financial planning and analysis for the organization focusing on proactively analyzing business performance and key performance metrics to provide analytical, strategic and financial support to senior management.
- Work directly with the local CEO/Chairman to analyze results and projections
- Manage and analyze monthly P&L results, annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and strategic planning with focus on time management, accuracy and actionable insights
- Collect and input data for monthly forecasting, budgets and new business entities
- Collaborate with Premium seating sales on product pricing, packaging and procedures
- Assist and effectively communicate with marketing, talent bookers, and venue managers to provide analysis regarding emerging trends, issues, opportunities and understanding financial reporting and processes
- Identify and monitor advanced analytics for venue utilization, customer behavior, marketing optimization, and pricing strategies
- Develop new models and revamp financial reports including P&L, efficiency metrics, margin analysis, buying ratios
- Build operational trackers for special events team and up-sell activity
- Manage team of 11 finance professionals including Director of Accounting, Finance Manager, and Staff accountants
- Track box office sales for consistent tracking and reporting
- Develop systems and tools training for the department to help advance divisional reporting
- Lead financials meetings with general managers, talent team, SEO team, and Security division
- Build performance-based compensation model for various departments
- Prepare presentations and conduct divisional board meetings periodically
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for the partners
- Manage quarterly and annual partners’ distribution
- Lead local financial audit
- Two direct reports and eleven indirect reports

Live Nation is the world's leading live entertainment company, sitting at the top of the market in live events and ticketing. Formed in 2005, it is a major international company, with key business segments made up of concerts, ticketing, and sponsorship and advertising.
Despite its dominant position in the market, the company saw an 84% drop in revenue during 2020 and the closure of live events. Since then, however, demand has been stronger than ever for their ticket sales. This is a reflection that live events remain a clear priority for consumers and has been further reflected in Live Nation's acquisitions of companies, like Goodlive, that complement and bolster Live Nation's portfolio.
In addition to live events, a key area to watch for Live Nation will be the rise of online concert streaming, like that undertaken by competitors such as Driift.
