Role
Who you are
- We are looking for a diligent, motivated, and experienced Manager with strong ownership for topics, self-organization and people skills
- At least 4 years' experience in a Consulting role or another high-paced environment, such as Investment Banking/Private Equity, with strong track record of success
- Experience in managing senior stakeholders up to board level
- Strong knowledge of energy markets globally is a nice to have
- The preferred candidate should have MBA or advanced degree and demonstrate strong analytical capability
- Demonstrated experience in managing cross functional transformational/strategic projects
- Strong presentation and interpersonal skills required. The candidate should be capable of creating compelling arguments and communicating them to various internal audiences
- Demonstrated business judgment and individual initiative
- Demonstrated strong ownership and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to work dynamically and cross functionally within teams spanning both the regional organizations and the global functions in a fast-moving technical business environment
- Possess an entrepreneurial drive for getting things done
- Exhibit a forward leaning posture, high ownership, and diligent pursuit of new opportunities
What the job involves

- Fluence seeks a Transformation and Competitiveness Manager to drive cross-functional strategy and transformation projects across Fluence’s Global businesses
- You will be responsible for managing several cross-functional projects with high relevancy and strong exposure to our top management
- You will actively contribute Fluence’s competitiveness with a focus on cost-out and product differentiation
- Furthermore, you will prepare, host, and moderate operative as well as strategic meetings with top management stakeholders from regional and central organizations
- Reporting to the Senior Manager of Competitiveness
- Lead and manage cross-functional and cross-regional strategy and transformation projects with high impact on Fluence’s business
- Act as sparring partner for Fluence’s management on strategic and competitiveness question
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement and communication, providing regular updates to top management
- Drive change management activities, ensuring smooth adoption of new processes, systems, and practices across the organization
- Support the continuous improvement of project management frameworks, methodologies, and best practices within the organization
Our take
For a long time, efforts to decarbonize the global power grid have been hampered by a lack of effective large-scale battery-based energy storage. Fluence's dove-tailed approach - which pairs cutting-edge hardware with its own top-of-the-line operating system and AI - seeks to address this problem by allowing customers to deploy energy storage faster and more cost effectively.
The result of a union between independent American power producer AES and Siemens, Europe's biggest industrial manufacturer, Fluence entered the market in 2017 with a bang, and it now boasts the world's largest deployed fleet of energy storage projects. Having established its presence in battery storage, the company has increasingly been moving into digital energy asset optimisation, including of renewable energy sources.
