Role
Who you are
- At least 5 years’ experience in FP&A, commercial finance, strategic analytics or similar roles
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related field
- Strong grasp of revenue forecasting, budgeting, financial modelling and performance dashboards
- Proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets; familiarity with BI tools and EPM systems (Pigment, Anaplan, etc
- Is a plus)
- Excellent communication skills in written and verbal English; German is a plus but not required
- High analytical rigor paired with strong storytelling and presentation skills
- Ownership mindset with high attention to detail; proactive, motivated and outcome-focused
- Experience mentoring or coaching others and contributing to a high-performing team culture

What the job involves
- We are looking for a commercially minded, analytically sharp Strategic Finance - Commercial Manager to join our Finance team
- In this high-impact role, you will partner closely with commercial leaders across the business to understand performance, steer strategic decisions, and deliver revenue growth
- You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our financial narrative, leading data-driven planning, and designing insights that drive profitable execution
- Own commercial forecasting and planning, leading the revenue budgeting and re-forecasting cycle and ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and financial discipline
- Drive performance reporting and insights by analysing trends, customer segments, funnel metrics, pricing and unit economics to identify opportunities and risks
- Act as the analytical backbone for commercial decision-making, building financial models and evaluating business cases that guide go-to-market strategy, pricing, resource allocation and investment choices
- Transform complex commercial data into clear, actionable insights that set direction and support leadership, commercial teams and the board
- Develop and automate reporting frameworks, preparing weekly, monthly and quarterly dashboards with increasing speed, reliability and transparency
- Steer revenue optimisation by identifying performance drivers and feeding insights directly into commercial initiatives
- Champion budgeting discipline through KPI tracking, scenario planning and structured financial modelling
- Manage, mentor and inspire a small team, building a high-performing team culture, elevating analytical capabilities and accelerating their professional development
Our take
Many high-level investment opportunities are solely reserved for financial institutions. This means that top-tier equity funds are completely out of reach for most private investors. Moonfare solves this problem by giving individuals access to institution-level investing.
Moonfare's platform allows investors to participate in funding rounds offered by some of the biggest investing companies, including The Carlyle Group and Tiger Global. The company offers investment opportunities with investment minimums as low as €50,000, which is about 100x less than the traditional minimum. So, while not everyone can afford to make investments through the company, a much larger pool of people have the ability to enter private markets.
Moonfare is headed up by an impressive team of KKR, BlackRock, Amazon and J.P. Morgan alums, which adds significant credibility to its product. The platform has grown considerably since launching and more recently partnered with Fundcraft to enhance its digital infrastructure, automate fund administration, KYC, and capital call processes. This integration enables eligible investors to register and invest directly online in minutes, an exciting feat which will surely catch the eye of many investors.
