Senior Brand Designer, Marqeta

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field, or equivalent work experience
• 10+ years experience in brand design, in house or agency
• Portfolio of work that demonstrates excellent design across a range of channels/surfaces and strong process
• You are skilled in Figma (collaborative use of features including building and using brand libraries, variables and components), Adobe Creative Suite (3D and motion preferred), and Google Docs
• Your design principles and fundamentals are excellent: layout, hierarchy, balance, typography, color theory
• You have pixel-perfect attention to detail. Uneven margins bug you!
• You “show your work” through process and iteration, demonstrated in portfolio
• You take a generous approach to collaboration: giving and receiving feedback freely and openly in design crits with a kind, constructive mindset
• You are flexible and adaptable to create great work in a fast moving, dynamic environment
• You manage your calendar and work flow effectively to maximize your productivity

• As a Senior Brand Designer at Marqeta, you will play a pivotal role in defining and executing engaging, performance-driven work as part of the Content and Creative team
• You will be responsible for ideation, exploration, and implementation of visuals across mediums and channels with an eye toward continual up-leveling of our campaigns and the Marqeta brand
• Beyond the ability to create beautiful work, you are an ambitious, detail-oriented designer with a passion for process, comfortability with feedback and iteration, and strong foundation in the fundamentals
• You anchor your design work in solving the business problem at hand and you know the value of a thoughtful design system
• Creating visual systems that tell clear stories, and leave an impression on our audiences and Marqeta’s visual brand
• Producing end to end creative for campaigns, across various channels and brand surfaces
• Building wireframes and create visuals for responsive web experiences that drive conversion
• Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to define strategic approach and design effective, compelling presentations
• Help scale our design impact by implementing design systems, leveraging automation tools. building effective templates, collaborating with our data and insights teams to test and optimize our work, and evolving/adjusting our processes for an increasingly efficient workflow
