WalletConnect is a Web 3.0 communications protocol that enables wallets and apps to securely connect. The company’s suite of APIs have been integrated by hundreds of wallets and apps to enable interoperability between devices, and bridge users with Web 3.0’s emerging products.
With the popularity of cryptocurrency applications on the rise, WalletConnect is primed for growth - as it offers a way to establish connections between crypto wallets and decentralized finance apps. To date, partner wallets and apps include Coinbase, MetaMask, Uniswap, and OpenSea, as well as X and Stripe.
Having raised funding in 2025, the company stated it would scale wallet interoperability and work on developing a generalized messaging layer, so it provides a medium of communication between users.
