Who you are
- You are a visionary and strategic problem solver who enjoys learning about new businesses and models quickly, building relationships and trust with clients, educating on insights relevant to growth, balancing short and long term goals, and operationalizing large projects
- You are able to build credibility with brands and internally to get projects and ultimately growth delivered — driving the brands’ and our success
- You thrive on cross-functional project management to drive consensus across a range of individuals and teams, and you can structure large projects into key analysis and deliverables
- You love the retail industry and are up to date with current events in the space
- You’re excited about joining a growing, international team and to expand our global brand partnerships
- You are mission-driven and love the fact that the better we do as a company, the less waste we’ll see in the world
- Bachelor’s degree from top university. Masters preferred
- 5-8 years of work experience, ideally within tech, consulting, e-commerce, or other strategic role
- You are familiar with how retailers operate and have either consulted for retailers or have a retail (apparel, accessories, other consumer goods) background
- Demonstrated project management skills with exceptional organization, attention to detail, and prioritization skills
- Technical product expertise isn’t necessary, but the ability to understand our product functionality and provide input on where we should continue building is critical to success in this role
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities, with experience taking a concept from analysis and strategy to project plan, deliverables, cross-functional execution, and lastly performance review and learnings
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
What the job involves
- Join an exciting and fast growing Brand Success team. In your role you will be responsible for growing our business, specifically with a set of European brand partners
- You will both serve as a strategic partner to brands—evaluating their needs and recommending improvements to their business—and work closely with our product team—prioritizing and implementing improvements to the experience and introducing new lines of business
- Serve as a consultant, advisor, and extension of a brand’s team in helping grow their resale business—proactively evaluating the brand’s performance and recommending opportunities to grow or improve their business
- In some instances, take on a consultative selling role to introduce new Archive products and features to improve and expand their business with us
- Work closely with our product team to prioritize new features and product improvements to support revenue growth across our live brands
- Maintain relationships and strategic discussions with a large variety of brands — serving as the strategic and marketing advisor to help grow the resale businesses of our partners
- Attend in-person events to represent Archive, as well as in-person meetings with EU-based brand partners
- Location: EU-Based. Remote, with some travel for in-person collaborative work
- The team is currently remote-first with hub offices in NY and LA, and this would be one of Archive’s first full-time hires in Europe. Occasional travel expected

Our take
The secondhand fashion market is growing faster than ever due to increased consumer awareness of the positive impact it has on sustainability. However, the sale of pre-loved clothes almost always takes place on third-party marketplaces, preventing brands from capitalizing on second-hand sales and intercepting fake item sales.
Archive develops online marketplaces for brands to facilitate the resale of second-hand items, allowing them to capitalize on the growing second-hand fashion market whilst regulating the legitimacy of such sales. The marketplaces developed by the company are integrated directly within existing first-hand online stores, ensuring that brand loyalists purchase and sell directly through the brand without using external secondhand marketplaces.
Whilst platforms such as eBay, Depop, and Etsy facilitate the resale of preloved fashion items, Archive recognizes that they prevent brands from earning revenue and can lead to the sale of fake products. With 2022 funding behind it, Archive is contributing to an industry set to grow at a rate of between 10 and 15 percent a year over the next decade, and its offering to secondhand fashion markets is strong, legitimizing the sale of preloved products, and advocating for a more sustainable fashion industry.
