Who you are
- The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- At least 10 years of selling experience, of which 3 must be in the enterprise SEO/optimization space
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong understanding of SEO principles, tools, and best practices
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
- Process driven, meticulously organized and self-motivated with a high level of initiative and the ability to work independently
- Proficient in using CRM software and sales productivity tools
- High emotional intelligence (EQ) that drives empathy, negotiation, and problem-solving
- Willingness to travel as needed
What the job involves
- We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Enterprise Account Executive to join our Sales Team
- In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, nurturing, and closing high-value sales opportunities with enterprise-level clients
- You will leverage your deep understanding of SEO technology, website monitoring, and digital marketing to develop strategic relationships and drive revenue growth
- Identify and target enterprise-level prospects through researching, networking and opportunity creation
- Define and execute sales plans for assigned enterprise-level prospect accounts to meet and exceed quota and grow market share through prospecting, qualifying, managing and closing sales opportunities
- Develop and manage sales pipeline to move strategic transactions through the sales process
- Effectively articulate the value proposition and ROI of our product offerings to a range of stakeholders
- Conduct in-depth needs analysis to understand prospect requirements and demonstrate the Conductor platform solutions
- Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting through deal close
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities and client interactions in our CRM system (Salesforce)
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and customer success, to ensure a seamless customer experience
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to effectively position our offerings
- Maintain In-depth knowledge of Conductor’s products and services
Our take
The internet is increasingly becoming a walled garden, with content and vital market intelligence hidden away on social media sites, gaming environments and apps. And with increasing regulation in the data protection space, such as GDPR, it can be harder for marketing teams to gain insight into what potential customers exist and what they want.
Conductor exists to change that. Taking advantage of the power of search ("No one ever lies to a search engine", in the words of the company's CEO and co-founder), it utilises data from search traffic to help marketing teams build more effective campaigns. Able to help optimise search results, track keyword rankings and measure performance, it has led to doubling the rate of conversions and site traffic among its customer base, which includes the likes of Citibank, athenahealth and Canon.
With a record of substantial funding and growing revenue from its customer base, Conductor is continuing to invest in its technology, making strategic acquisitions to help it expand. For instance, its acquisition of ContentKing allowed it to add real-time website auditing and monitoring to its platform, and its 2023 acquisition of Searchmetrics is aimed at accelerating its growth in Europe. As the SEO space enters a period of consolidation, it seems that Conductor is well-positioned to remain at the top of the search results.
