Who you are
- 3 or more years programming experience in Python, Java, or PHP2 or more years of experience with web technologies such as HTTP, HTML, XML, etc
- Customer-facing experience in sales, sales engineering, consulting or related function
- Strong strategic, analytical and tactical skills; must be able to create plans then roll up your sleeves and get things done
- Experience in managing technically complex products in a B2B technology environment
- Proven ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear, concise manner both verbally and in writing
- Excellent presentation and organizational skills
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, A postgraduate degree and/or record of academic achievement is also desirable
What the job involves
- To drive success in this role, you will have a proven track record of technical problem-solving and client engagement, along with a deep understanding of software development and system architecture
- As the Client Solutions Engineer, you will need to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- As the Client Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for partnering with clients to understand their technical requirements and challenges, and then designing and implementing tailored solutions that align with their needs
- You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of our products into clients' existing systems. Regular collaboration with Partner Services and Strategic Partnerships teams will be key in ensuring that client expectations are not only met but exceeded
- Scope each partner engagement, with attention towards clear and well-defined objectives and success criteria
- Work with the CSE to assist with new partnership opportunities, prepare technical sales material, develop proof of concepts (POCs) and support demonstrations to win new business
- Develop an in-depth understanding of Cover Genius’ product technology and underlying architectures by troubleshooting, reproducing, determining the root cause for customer reported issues
- Use SQL, Google BigQuery, Google Data Studio and related technologies to identify and present actionable business growth opportunities to partners
- Support multiple partner engagements concurrently, supporting the key partner contact CSE, while developing Ensure timely and successful integrations through managing internal stakeholders
- Identify opportunities for improving process, make recommendations and implement changes through automation of activities to optimize client engagements

Insurance plans and warranties are staples of a successful digital company, but setting them up is challenging. Businesses must compare and write contracts with insurance providers which require the expensive assistance of legal and financial teams, Add to this the cost of web designers who can embed the service online, and insurance and warranties quickly become unaffordable to smaller businesses.
Cover Genius provides end-to-end APIs called XCover and XClaim for embedding insurance and warranty plans onto online stores, preventing the business from having to compare, arrange and deploy insurance plans themselves. The company's policies are for any business, can be translated into over 40 languages, and are designed to be read easily without unnecessary jargon.
Whilst other insurtech companies offer similar services to Cover Genius, the company has uniquely focused on ensuring its plans are easily readable, translatable, and dynamically priced based on personal requirements. Although the company initially aimed to facilitate insurance and warranty plans for smaller businesses, it also partners with large enterprises such as Ryanair, Amazon, and eBay. In 2024 it secured impressive Series E funding off the back of a year where it achieved 107% year-on-year growth.
