Who you are
- 7+ years in software product roles, with a track record of helping scale products people genuinely love
- Experience at two or more companies or products; we believe seeing the movie twice leads to a richer perspective
- A deep customer-discovery habit: you've built your best work on top of real user conversations, and you can prove it
- Systematic and data-driven: fluent in product analytics, comfortable designing experiments, able to self-serve the data you need
- Relentless follow-through: you carry the through-line across multiple projects and close every loop
- Exceptional written and verbal communication: you lead with clear, structured direction and can align executives, engineers, and customers around one narrative
- Comfort being the senior product voice in the room, with the judgment to make calls under ambiguity and the humility to change course when the data says so
- Bonus: you've shipped AI-powered products or built with MCP; you're the kind of person who's genuinely obsessed with the frontier of generative AI, not just keeping up with it; experience mentoring or coaching others; B2B SaaS serving both self-serve users and enterprise buyers; growth/monetization work (pricing, packaging, trials)
- You're practical and allergic to BS. You'd rather ship the right small thing than present the impressive big thing
- You're seriously curious about customers, about how things work, and about why that one metric moved
- You take AI seriously—as a practitioner, not a cheerleader. Believer or skeptic, you've used the tools enough to have earned opinions about what's genuinely useful and what's hype
- You're low-ego and high-motivation. You care more about the product being great than about being right
- You want to build a product function, not just join one. Defining the standards, rituals, and ways of working is your idea of a good time

What the job involves
- As Senior Product Manager at Tango, you'll be our one and only PM—the product counterpart to a senior design team that's been waiting for you
- Our product org is led by three senior product designers with 35 years of combined experience who have been carrying product strategy alongside their craft
- They're exceptional at it, and they're ready for a true product partner so both disciplines can operate at a world-class level
- You'll own the roadmap for a platform spanning documentation, in-app guidance, and automation
- You'll report directly to our CEO and work closely with our co-founders, design, and engineering
- Your first big swing: leading our MCP and agent-platform work, bringing AI to our customers in ways that are actually useful, not just shiny
- This is a rare shape of role: you steer where we're going, hold the bar on what ships, own rollout planning, and measure whether it worked, with a design team that can take a strong PRD and carry it to the finish line
- Senior IC scope, with real ownership
- You'll be in the weeds where it counts: customer conversations, data, PRDs, launch plans
- And you'll be setting the standards that define how product is done here
- Steer the ship. Own the roadmap: decide where we invest, back every call with customer evidence and data, and keep the through-line clear across everything in flight
- Find the next opportunity. Look beyond today's product for Tango's next big swing, and earn conviction the hard way: customer conversations, evidence, and small tests before big bets
- Live with our customers. Run a continuous discovery cadence, own the voice of the customer internally, and turn what users ask for into what they actually need. You'll be the person in the company who knows our customers best
- Hold the bar and measure the impact. Define what "up to par" means for what we ship, drive post-launch analysis, and be the honest voice on whether we accomplished what we set out to do
- Own rollout planning. Take launches from PRD through go-to-market: sequencing, packaging, enablement, and the post-launch loop
- Lead our AI and MCP platform work. Define how Tango plugs into the agentic ecosystem and ship AI features that solve real workflows, not demos
- Partner with a world-class design team. Write strong PRDs and watch three senior designers carry them further than you thought possible. They love discovery and product thinking, so you'll do your best work with them, not around them, while owning prioritization, rollout, and commercial rigor
Our take
Teaching workflows to new employees can be a difficult task, traditionally being conducted in person on a computer. Whilst digital alternatives such as screen recording can make it easier, this process can still be convoluted when simple step-by-step guides are more than sufficient.
Tango provides a web browser extension for generating step-by-step training guides, allowing training teams to teach new employees workflows in real-time. Users can turn the extension on to automatically convert their on-screen actions into written instructions accompanied by screenshots, providing a simple means of teaching workflows without in-person training or video recordings.
Whilst there are certainly many other software tools that training teams can use to teach business workflows, Tango has recognised that existing solutions can be convoluted, providing a streamlined and easy-to-use alternative. The company claims that through this approach, it can help save businesses time and money, whilst optimising the clarity of workflow teachings.
