Who you are
- We seek individuals who excel in dynamic environments and are passionate about professionalizing financial operations. As part of the ambitious team, you’ll lead with empathy and resilience, fostering a collaborative culture while ensuring operational scalability
- At least 8 years in accounting leadership, ideally in scale-ups, fintech, or similar industries
- Relevant master’s degree (e.g., cand.merc.aud, HD-R, cand.oecon, or cand.polit)
- Strong knowledge of Danish GAAP, IFRS, VAT compliance, and financial reporting. Familiarity with US GAAP is a plus
- Resilient, process-driven, and entrepreneurial. You thrive in high-energy environments and have a talent for mentorship and team building
- Fluency in English. Fluency in Danish is a plus
What the job involves
- We’re looking for talented Group Financial Controller to join our Finance team
- As Group Financial Controller, you will play a critical role in driving Monta’s ambitious growth and ensuring financial stability during its transition to a more structured and scalable organization
- You’ll act as a player-coach, seamlessly balancing leadership with hands-on involvement in day-to-day operations
- From inspiring your team to tackling the details in the machine room, you’ll be instrumental in shaping the company’s financial foundation for its next growth chapter
- Overseeing an accounting team of 4 as well as external consultants with a focus on elevating team capabilities and fostering a culture of excellence
- Ensure IFRS compliance, manage VAT and payroll, as well as working closely with auditors for annual reporting
- Oversee BS and PL accountability and oversee financial consolidation across 10+ entities
- Lead improvements in operational efficiency, transitioning entrepreneurial workflows into scalable processes

Monta is an EV charging company that is building ways to make it easier to charge EVs from wherever you are. In order to do so, the company is working to digitise the EV charging ecosystem via a charging management platform.

In spite of this, there is a dearth of EV charging points, and Monta is trying to rectify this issue through its unique all-in-one EV charging platform, which makes charging vehicles simple and seamless, thereby increasing the adoption of a more sustainable method of transport.
Monta has invested its efforts toward opening up new markets, specifically North America, whilst consolidating its market position in Scandinavia, the UK, and Germany, as well as creating transparency within the electricity market and continuing to fund digitising the power grid infrastructure. Recent funding invest further in R&D alongside expanding its partner network.
