Role
Who you are
- Minimum of 5 years working in video game industry
- Minimum of 1 shipped AAA game
- Professional experience with Unreal Engine
- Extensive experience building tools and systems in areas such as: build infrastructure, Unreal Engine, level editor, Houdini integration, localization, etc
- B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Demonstrable knowledge of Git and Perforce, including branching strategies
- Experience with build systems (Jenkins, GitHub, etc) and Infrastructure as Code
- Excellent C++ skills and working knowledge of C#, shell scripting, etc
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work autonomously and push features to completion
Desirable
- Experience working with cloud infrastructure and big data common within the game industry
- Shipped a tools solution to the public that has an active user base
- Experience working with UI frameworks such as WPF, Slate, Qt, etc
- Console development experience
What the job involves
- Own and develop infrastructure and tools around an Unreal Engine ecosystem, working to constantly improve the development environment for all disciplines
- Rapidly respond to build system needs and issues, working to provide comprehensive solutions in a timely manner
- Work with engineers, designers, and artists to help facilitate world building tool pipelines with Unreal and other DCC packages such as Houdini
- Provide Dev Ops solutions to improve build quality via automation and reduce process friction
- Design, develop, and support release processes for a live services game to support various deployment environments, leveraging best practices for security and build creation
- Optimize our remote company infrastructure to support security and scaling needs for games and outsourcing partners
- Contribute creative solutions to complex problems around source control, specifically around Unreal Engine and enabling parallel workflows
- Perform analysis & provide solutions that may arise from infrastructure issues or network malfunction
